i'll see if i can scrounge up some furniture to add to the attic thing. i'll comment to list what i can contribute.

Band Practices 6/16 and 6/18?

okay, did we say that we would have band practice on monday and wednesday? if so, how about we work on thrashed by the belt on monday, as well as playing through caress the dead and i am ahab, and then unsightly on wednesday. if we basically do what we did today on both those days, we should be able to finish both songs.

hopefully, by the end of wednesday, we'll be able to play all four songs in a row. maybe, if we write a couple more songs while jack's gone, we'd be able to put on a gig. we could play at the warming house, whenever the first concert is. we only need like four songs to play there anyways. we also need to enter in band-aid.

Kickass Guitar Mod

i just finished modding my vendetta. i put the gibson dirty fingers on it, and i put a series/parallel switch and a phaser switch. it gives my guitar a much larger tonal possibility range. the dean pickup and dirty fingers mixed together sounds pretty frickin' sweet.

Band Practices 6/14 and 6/15

we need to decide the details of these two practices:

Action Jackson's house

I'm guessing they'll start around noon. if we're going have them end late, it might just make more sense for us to just stay overnight and start up again the next morning. and then the sunday one could probably end a little earlier for summer school and family stuff etc....

this weekend, we should make an effort to play all the songs on the list. i'll record killing in the name and my two, and you guys can help finish the lyrics these next two days so that they will be ready with vocals and everything.

Caress The Dead

I just finished writing another new song. well, except for the lyrics. i do have a complete guitar part and bass part though. i'll tab it out on the computer and put it on google docs. its not as intense as thrashed by the belt, but it sounds pretty ghostly, and in some placed it sounds like a mixed pantera/metallica song.

(i got the name off of marshall's list. it really is a good list)

okay here are the definite details so far:

Ends at ~8:30-9

We're going to guitar center at some point

I'm coming ...on bike
Danny's coming (maybe without his stuff) ...on bike
Devin's coming ...in car (lazy ass)
Marshall's coming ...on foot

i think that if danny calls devin right as summer school ends, devin can pick up his stuff for him. he might have to tell him how to get into his house or something though.

We WILL make an I Am Ahab video today. whether danny and marshall like it or not

I finished my song!!!!!!!! (thrashed by the belt)

Okay, i made the name of it "thrashed by the belt" from marshall's list, and its pretty frikin' awesome. Definitely the best song i've written so far.

i have a tab with the guitar part on it and the song order, and i'm working on tabbing out the bass part.

lyric-wise, i only have a chorus, but if we want, we could go the mastodon way and leave it. but i'm still going to write some more.

i'll try and upload the file on a widget or something.

band practice 6/11

okay, assuming band practice ends around 11 o'clock, everyone comes to my house, and is here about 12 all together. we go to guitar center around 1 o'clock, (what are we actually doing there) and get back around like 3, we'll have plenty of time to practice

Wednesday Band Practice 6/11

so are we going to guitar center or what? i think we are unanimously fuzzy on the details of wednesday.

i know for sure that we're going to do i am ahab(hopefully record it or make a video) and killing in the name. we should try and learn thank you for this by wednesday too. its really easy and short, but a really good song. the drum part can't be that much harder than the i am ahab one. also, we could try doing doa too. i haven't completely learned it yet, but we've still got two days.

also, i'm getting pretty close to finishing that song that i wrote most recently. i'll tab it out on my computer, and depending on how finished it is, we might be able to do that on wednesday too.

tell me if i'm sort of overloading, but i think that if we want to go to guitar center and have this jampacked practice, we should probably start a little earlier and end a little later.
