now who's talking?
oh wait, i was supposed to say my idea first D:
okay, i was listening to my new favorite band RYASHON (they're a myspace band listen to their stuff it's amazing i'll post the link. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=65671096) download oll their stuff from rapidshare there is a link, sorry i went off on a not-so-random tangent...ANYWAY!!! i thought, instead of writing new songs WITH LYRICS, we focus on parts for marshall, make the song and if it needs lyrics, after we've MASTERED the song, THEN we work on the lyrics, if not it can be an instrumental song...i just think it would be easier, cuz then First off, we get marshall playing right off the bat (since he hasn't had lessons his parts don't have to be hard D:) and Second, Marshall won't immediately have to take on the task of singing and playing RIGHT AWAY (you will eventually have to do it marshall) anyway just speculating
now who's talking (NAILED IT!)

Recording Plans
so, from what i've heard so far, the two earliest possible dates are this sunday (if we get back from the canoe trip early), or next friday. On that next friday, danny is leaving on some sort of family vacation, so we would need to wrap it up before like 6:30. But, if we start immediately after school, we should be able to get something done. If we get back from the canoe trip early, then we will have that whole day on sunday.
also, devin has agreed to the mixing and vocals being done at soundtracks. he also says that he could do drums there if we can't get good quality at acjack's. at soundtracks, there is already a drumkit, and we can mic each individual piece with a high-quality mic.
on another note, that mtg tournament that gregg is hosting is going on this friday after school. because its a late start, we should have plenty of time before we leave for canoeing.

Stuff
At next band practice (A week from this Friday, I believe) we are doing three (3) covers. I want to get them done and over with.
So far we have:
Be Quick Or Be Dead - Iron Maiden
Lithium - Nirvana (Or something else by them, I'm open-minded).
We need one (1) more songs that aren't "death metal". We need to pick them out, and have practiced them for next band practice so we can play them at least passably by the end of next band practice. If we haven't decided the other songs by Friday afternoon, Nick and I will pick them for you.
Edit: I think we agreed to do Lithium.
